Bio Health Periagna - Agnus Castus (Vitex agnus castus L) is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to help relieve premenstrual symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, breast tenderness, bloating and menstrual cramps, based on traditional use only.
The herbal ingredients are from organic, wild crafted (non-threatened species) or cultivated plants and conform to accepted scientific standards, British Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.
Agnus castus, also known as Vitex or Chaste berry, contains several different constituents, including flavonoids, iridoid glycosides, and terpenoids. The whole fruit extract, rather than one of its individual constituents, appears to be necessary for the activity of agnus castus.
